– ‘Music Of’ Tribute Series and Afterparty –
Damian attended the ‘People Have the Power: A Celebration of Patti Smith,’ an all-star tribute concert at Carnegie Hall on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 in New York City to support his partner Alison Mosshart’s performance at the event. The tribute honored Smith’s 50th anniversary of her legendary 1975 debut album, Horses.
Other performers included Bruce Springsteen, Michael Stipe (R.E.M.), Susanna Hoffs (The Bangles), Courtney Barnett (Billions soundtrack), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), actor and musician Johnny Depp, and actor Michael Shannon, just to name a few.
And later Damian and Alison attended the afterparty!
Since 2004, City Winery founder, philanthropist, and music producer Michael Dorf has held an annual “Music Of” benefit and tribute series at Carnegie Hall, which has donated over $1.5M in proceeds to organizations that provide music education programs and opportunities to underserved youth.
