Damian was a guest on this week’s Dish Podcast from Waitrose with Michelin star chef and restaurateur Angela Hartnett and broadcaster Nick Grimshaw discussing all his favorite foods, his upcoming vampire film The Radleys, and more. Dish Podcast is a weekly dinner party serving food lovers hilarious, unfiltered chat with celebrity guests along with foodie tips.

Fast Food Quiz: How does he like his eggs? Poached. His favorite sandwich filling? Chicken salad. Potato preparation? Dauphinoise (potatoes au gratin). His favorite herb? Rosemary. Choice of crisps (chips)? Kettle’s salt and black pepper. Current favorite pasta dish? A white wine pork ragù. How about a Sunday roast, pork or beef? A slow roasted shoulder of pork. Cocktails? Old Fashioned or Negroni.

In the Kitchen with Damian: The staple item always in his pantry? A nice sourdough. He is learning to cook vegetarian for his daughter, usually a nice stuffed pepper or fried tofu, but admits he’s not the best at it so he bought her an air fryer. He has apple trees in his garden and his daughter Manon made an amazing apple crumble with their own apples! He also talked about the fiasco of cooking an octopus for his children.

Upcoming Projects: Damian revealed he recently visited the Imperial War Museum researching declassified weather reports for his upcoming role as British Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery in Pressure, now filming. You’ll be happy to know Damian is not a method actor, so he did not dig a fox hole in his garden or eat rations out of a tin. No Spam or powered milk for Damian! 😉
