– Suck My Blood –
Exciting news! Damian released a new single today, October 4, 2024, titled Suck My Blood. Damian performed this song for audiences at gigs during his Spring 2024 tour and summer festival circuit, and now the song will appear on The Radleys soundtrack for Damian’s new vampire comedy film also released today. The song was not ready in time to be synch’d into the film, but it does appear on the soundtrack.
The Radleys is in select US theaters, Video on Demand, and various streaming services like Amazon Video and AppleTV today, and SkyTV/NOW in the UK on October 18, 2024.
Initially Damian wrote the song with a more bluesy version, but then Keefus Ciancia, who composed the film’s score, re-produced it which resulted in a banging electronic dance track. Or as Damian puts it, “…he ran it through a microwave and ding, it was ready.”
I find the song Suck My Blood mysterious and moody, like musical alchemy to my ears. You can almost picture hazy fog enveloping a predatory vampire from a scene in the movie The Radleys as you hear this distant, ominous outpouring of echo-like verse that gets louder, closer, before the bridge ripples through the outro, summoning an unmistakable creature-like atmosphere. The chorus transcends me and my vital essence feels threatened LOL, but that’s the point.
