The Radleys Heads to Edinburgh International Film Festival

World Premiere

The abstainer vampire film The Radleys starring Damian Lewis, Kelly MacDonald and Harry Baxendale is ready to take a bite out of Edinburgh! The movie will get its World Premiere at the 77th edition of the Edinburgh International Film Festival as part of the Out of Competition strand. Both Damian and Kelly MacDonald will present the World Premiere at the festival. The bloodthirsty dark comedy is about a suppressed family of vampires, adapted from Matt Haig’s titular novel and is being sold by Cornerstone. First look photos here.

When Peter (played by Damian) and Helen’s teenage daughter Clara is assaulted by a classmate and an unexpected thirst for blood is awakened, her family is forced to disclose their true nature. The shocking revelation encourages lovesick son Rowan and previously vegan Clara to question their identity and suppressed desires.

The arrival of her arrogant, openly vampiric uncle Will (also played by Damian) who embraces his hedonistic, bloodthirsty lifestyle accelerates the unraveling of the false front they have created.

Filming started in June 2023 and The Radleys will be released on Sky Cinema on October 18, 2024 in the UK, just in time for Halloween. Watch on SkyTV in the UK and streaming on NOW. No official US release date as of yet. The Edinburgh International Film Festival runs from August 15 – 21, 2024.
