Damian Lewis on The Michael Ball Show Radio 2

Looking Forward to a Trip to the Seaside: Southend

Damian was a guest on The Michael Ball Show on Radio 2 today, Sunday, March 10, 2024. He discussed music, his debut album Mission Creep, his UK Tour Part 2 and playing Southend at the Palace Theatre tonight! Damian shared that his band members meet at his house, load up the splinter van and they plan to take off to Southend about an hour after appearing in this radio interview!

He shared that he has written a second album that is more of a blues-y, indie sound, and he is folding in some new songs from that album into his current Mission Creep tour. He also updated Michael about his upcoming Henry VIII role in the final installment of the Wolf Hall triology, this time wearing a sausage suit 😉

Damian concluded he’s not against performing in a musical again on stage. We can only hope!

Listen to the episode on BBC Sounds here, available for 29 days from today so don’t miss out! Damian’s segment is at approximately 1:26:55 of the programme, right after the song Big Spender by Shirley Bassey. After Damian’s segment you can hear his song Hole in My Roof.

It’s not too late to see one of his shows. Tour schedule and ticket information here.
