On the Trading Floor Again for a Good Cause

Damian will be joining the trading floor for this year’s GFI Charity Day 2018 in support of and to raise funds for Cure EB. Epidermolysis Bullosa is a genetic skin blistering condition that affects over 500,000 people around the world. It has a devastating impact on sufferers and their families. It is unrelenting in its pain and the distress it causes. Because EB is considered a rare condition, it does not attract government funding. Cure EB.org has a chance to make a difference to an incredibly painful, disfiguring and ultimately fatal condition.

Charity Day 2018 will take place on Tuesday, September 11 at GFI’s offices in New York City.

But that’s not all. Guess who will also be there?

It seems GFI Charity Day will be a family affair, as Helen McCrory will be on the trading floor in support of the Sir Hubert von Herkomer Arts Foundation, a foundation dedicated to inspiring a generation by offering a gateway to the arts.

Every year, Cantor Fitzgerald and affiliates, BGC Partners and GFI Group, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, commemorate 658 friends and colleagues and 61 Eurobrokers employees who perished on September 11, 2001 by distributing 100% of global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and dozens of charities around the world. Since its inception, Charity Day has raised $147 million globally. Charity Day is a way of turning a tragic day into one that is positive and uplifting by helping others.
