Getting Into the Spirit at Royal Ascot

They’re currently starring in American Buffalo on London’s West End. And Damian Lewis and his co-star John Goodman took a break from their intense theatre schedule to enjoy a fun afternoon out at the races, attending the opening day of Royal Ascot in Berkshire on Tuesday.
The 44-year-old actor got carried away, cheering and exclaiming in amazement as his horse sped ahead of the pack.
Damian looked like he couldn’t believe his luck as he watched the action unfurl from the VIP box.
Also joining the actor was his beautiful wife Helen McCrory, who seemed just as enthusiastic about their big day out.
Damian, who has been given a 70’s makeover for his stage role, was sporting a seriously hirsute look including thick sideburns and a horseshoe moustache.
The bold look is no doubt for his role as Walter ‘Teach’ Cole in the West End revival of 70s hit American Buffalo, which opened at Wyndham’s Theatre in London on 16 April.
The dark comedy by Daniel Evans tells the story of three small-time crooks plotting to steal a valuable coin collection.
Despite the facial hair, Damian cut a stylish figure at the annual sporting event by rocking a tailored three-piece suit with a black silk top hat and a crisp white shirt all by British menswear label Oliver Brown.  Eagle eye: Damian was keeping one eye on the horses as he chatted to his wife.
Meanwhile, 46-year-old Helen looked absolutely sensational in a blue and white floral dress, which flattered her lean and slender frame perfectly.
